Eligibility Criteria

You should have a valid Cook Certificate or have an experience and knowledge to write Cooking Certificate examination. You have a First Aid certificate and are heartsaver certified.

Knowledge and Skills required:

1. Knowledge of bulk cooking and various safety principals.
2. Knowledge of preparing high volume of meals
3. Knowledge of food safety protocols
4. Team working and team leadership skills
5. Basic Computer skills
6. Analytical and problem solving skills
7. Basic written communication skills.
8. Organizational and Problem solving capabilities.

Wages offered

• $ 23.33 to $ 25.22 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

1. Cooking and distributing meals for 132 inmates and staff.
2. Training and supervising various inmate helpers
3. Making various foods such as complete meals, restricted diets, salads, snacks, etc.
4. Maintaining an inventory of supplies menus and making alterations as required.
5. Ensuring meals are prepared on time
6. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
7. Performing duties of Food Service Supervisor in his/her absence.
