The hourly rate will range from $29.44 to $38.43 throughout the course of 24 months for Transit Operator Jobs
KEY RESPONSIBLE AND DUTIES:
In charge of making sure that transit cars run safely and well. Giving people information about prices, service routes, schedules, short-turns, delays, detours, emergency situations, transit rules and policies, etc. Calling out connecting route places as well as making statements to customers. - Being able to read, understand, and follow written rules and procedures, as well as follow verbal orders, and being able to write clearly are all important.
- Shown they can treat the public with respect and communicate well while offering important transit services
- Have a current, non-probationary license. Ontario Class "G" Driver's License in good standing and the ability to meet TTC's company standard for a good driving record (see Driver's Abstract Requirements). (ttc.ca)
- Meet all of the legal requirements for getting a Class "CZ" License (for a bus driver) or a Class "F" License (for a wheel-trans operator).

- Must pass a medical test according to rules set by the Ministry of Transportation.
- Must pass a test of cognitive skill and aptitude
